Re: 50NL vs maniac
Dont get it allin preflop. Flop is ok. Gambling with bottom pair and 2nd nut fd is an opponent dependent move.

Re: 50NL vs maniac
Preflop: Shoving is not a good idea, but I think you should be willing to gamble on the flop if you hit a marginal hand and he will bet pot on most flops.
Flop: As long as you are not up against a set or the nut flush draw, you have a good chance at winning the pot. Even against top two pair and a weaker flush draw you have a ton of outs. Against a weaker flush draw + one pair you are a small favorite: cards win %win lose %lose tie %tie EV As 6s Qc 3c 449 54.76 371 45.24 0 0.00 0.548 Jc 5c Kd 9h 371 45.24 449 54.76 0 0.00 0.452 Against a weaker flush draw + two pair you are a small dog: cards win %win lose %lose tie %tie EV As 6s Qc 3c 363 44.27 457 55.73 0 0.00 0.443 Jc 5c Kd 7h 457 55.73 363 44.27 0 0.00 0.557 If villain has two pair but no flush draw, it is a toss-up: cards win %win lose %lose tie %tie EV As 6s Qc 3c 396 48.29 424 51.71 0 0.00 0.483 Kd Jd 7d 9h 424 51.71 396 48.29 0 0.00 0.517 Against a set + no flush draw you are a big dog: cards win %win lose %lose tie %tie EV As 6s Qc 3c 253 30.85 567 69.15 0 0.00 0.309 5c Kd 7d 7h 567 69.15 253 30.85 0 0.00 0.691 Against a nut flush draw but no pair you are almost dead: cards win %win lose %lose tie %tie EV As 6s Qc 3c 83 10.12 737 89.88 0 0.00 0.101 Ac 5c Kd 7h 737 89.88 83 10.12 0 0.00 0.899 |

Against a nut flush draw but no pair you are almost dead: cards win %win lose %lose tie %tie EV As 6s Qc 3c 83 10.12 737 89.88 0 0.00 0.101 Ac 5c Kd 7h 737 89.88 83 10.12 0 0.00 0.899 [/ QUOTE ] This is the situation that pisses me off more than anything and is what has made me more nitty. I've started playing less suited rundowns (not the best ones obv) and more ragged suited aces with the intent of getting it in any time I hit a flush draw lol. It's sad, and probably not entirely true ;p But it sure feels like it! |
