50NL- JQs flops Broadway+OESFD vs massive donk
It looks like I played this hand like a donk who just learned how to slowplay, however the guy was 75/30 through 100. Hed donkbet almost all flops, and usually 2nd and 3rd barrel depending on his hand. I prolly should have bet the turn, however i was hoping hed bluff/catch a hand so hed bet again on river.

Yea you gotta do something here to get the money in before the river. You cant get the stacks in by calling the flop, checking the turn, and calling the river. You have a guy betting into you and you hold the nuts, so why not punish him? If the villain has two pair or something on this flop he is more likely to stack off to a raise right than and there than he is on a turn that completes the flush.

YOu have the nuts. The best hand possible. Nothing can beat you. And you CALL the river. That is incorrect. There is no reason to do that.

Also: Weak bet the turn perhaps, like you are scared, get him to pounce on your weakness if he is overly aggro

Re: 50NL- JQs flops Broadway+OESFD vs massive donk
I'm really not sure here, so I'm putting this more in the form of a question for someone else to judge my line too. My line would be to bet ~1 on the turn, hoping to get pushed back, which of course is a snap call. As played, however, I'd min-raise the river, if I'd noticed he had a habit of pushing into min-raises. If not, I'd bet the pot, or push if he's the type who likes to "Keep you honest".
Good line? |

Re: 50NL- JQs flops Broadway+OESFD vs massive donk
Ok, do not bet 1 on the turn, bet strong, if he wants to push back, then its gonna cost him alot more than if you were to bet a dollar. Definitely do not min raise the river, what does that accomplish? You are at best hoping the 9 of spades calls that, which is beyond optimistic to say the least. I am not even sure I call the river, but I guess the way you played it I would have to. Summary of the hand: Raise flop, bet turn strong and hopefully you wont have much to think about by the river.

Is this some kind of level?
You do realize you flopped the nuts right? So if he checks, you check behind flop/turn/river too right? Bet $7 on turn. Ship the river. |
