Re: Making over my new wardrobe
Clayton,
You should listen to steel108 as long as you stay away from Ed Hardy and Affliction, unless you want to look like a balding 30-something trying to be a cool rocker guy. Most, I really don't get the hate-on for Kenneth Cole. I have these boots, and I get lots of compliments. I admit not everything they do is nice, but no designer hits a home run every time. Maulik, G-Star is pretty awesome if you want this on everything you wear: Seriously, I often like their cuts, but plastering everything with their logo ruins most of their output, and the rest is ruined by just being ugly. |

Re: Making over my new wardrobe
Howard, I find Zegna shirts uniformly drab and boring. Worse, I think they're pretty much the worst value for high end shirts.
Clayton, Really, what are you trying to do? If you want to look expensive that's easy, but costly. If you want to look fashionable that's easy too, but costly over the long term as you turn-over your wardrobe every year. If you want to look distinctive, that's hard. You have to figure out who you are and what you're about. |

Re: Making over my new wardrobe
***, KC is basically the driving force behind about 95% of the ugly, flat, wide-toebox shoe phenomenon of the last 10-15 years. Shoes that confuse roominess with comfort, squareness with style.

I'm heading over to Niagara in a couple days and when I get back from that I'll go shopping with a lot of recommendations from EDF in hand. I'm not trying to create an entire new expensive wardrobe, I've now learned thats something you just dont do. I'm just gonna buy a few things here and there in each sorta category and give a small status report. |

For people who are talkin about stylish hoodies, could you list a couple of links where we can find them?? Winter is coming and I need some new hoodies.

For some reason, they fit me perfectly and I can buy off the shelf; and they're supercomfortable. As a matter of style, they do IMO have some nonboring ones. On the value point, I agree: they're expensive. But for one or two, I suspect OP doesn't care. |

Re: Making over my new wardrobe
***,
G-star does plaster their name on their clothing, but most people won't recognise the name, so it's a moot point. |
