move up to 22\'s...become well acquainted with bubble...
yo,
So i have been playing the 11 (10+1) dollar sngs on FTP for a while and built a little over 1000 dollar br this way. I decided to take a 10 buy in shot at at the 22's and have finsihed 3rd, on the bubble 5 times in a row. it is driving me crazy. Do you think this is where inferior skill is most easily exploited? A lot of these have been pretty bad beats, but still I like to avoid tricky situations on the bubble in general. I know this may not be an entirely bank roll mgmt friendly endeavor...but its pretty safe and ive been a pretty big nit forever so i figured its time to take a shot, why not? Alright, thanks for your help. i'm depressed. |

You can't draw any conclusions from the results of 6 games. It could just be variance, but it could be an unwillingness to gamble in favorable spots on the bubble. I think you should give yourself more buy-ins, say 20, or just move down until you feel comfortable working with more buy-ins. Good luck Matt.

Good meant advice: Play a bit more 11s, till you have like 1,5k.
I thought a lot about the money with only ~50 BI when I moved up. Like one 20 buyin downswing which happens pretty often crushes you pretty hard. Just my two cents. |
