I would never check here against a station. $40-45 would probably be good unless he's like super-awful, then maybe a bit more.

if u are going to bet, make sure u are betting with the intention of folding to a raise.
a value bet here is very thin, and i probably wouldnt make it against any type of player other than the one youve described, just dont get lazy if he moves u in. like a little less than half his stack seems like a decent sized bet to me. |

I like to bet about $55 here. Checking behind against a station that will call with tens here is just burning free money. Plus, even a passive station is just going to donk into you on the river with a flush a lot of the time.

With his stack as it is, I ended up betting 38 to give myself room to fold if villain shoved. If I had bet 50, and villain shoved, I usually end up talking myself into calling and losing.
