just a ridiculous question? [/ QUOTE ] People just don't play the same for play money. You'd be better off playing against one of the better video games though even that's far from ideal. I quit for nearly a year after the legislation and played a few dozen SNG's on the Stacked for xbox when I started again. The computer plays alot better than the under $5 games. |

I think they could teach you some things, extreme basics like play tight early and push late. But who wants to do that when u can push every hand like everyone else?

The situations you see are just completely different in play money. I played a ton of play money SNGs a few years ago, and it wasn't uncommon to be ITM the 2nd hand. Playing against calling stations with 50ish BBs isn't going to let you hone your skills for tighter and more shortstacked play.

I play some play money SNG's after signing up to new sites. This is only to check the software and the structure (blinds increases, antes etc.). Besides this, I would recomend them only to REAL beginners....
