Re: mid pair vs. aggro reg
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] You'd better have a plan for all three streets if you want to call here. [/ QUOTE ] not really. why cant u call/fold turn ui? [/ QUOTE ] so you're drawing to a 5 outer (10% to hit on turn)? what is a call/fold? are you calling or are you folding? calling cr and calling turn ui seems especially bad on this board w/o history i assume you called - what happened next? |

Re: mid pair vs. aggro reg
I'm not saying calling the flop to fold the turn UI is a good line, it was just a possible line. villains total range is fairly wide in this spot but the range of hands that are actually looking for value is quite small.
sets - only 3 combos of 22, 1 combo of 88, 3 combos of QQ but very unlikely since he just called preflop. top pair - AQ/KQ, definitely possible but I think AQ gets 3bet by this villain a large percentage of the time so it should be discounted somewhat. and while he's aggro, he's not stupid. most regs aren't raising KQ on the flop for value |

Re: mid pair vs. aggro reg
I hate folding in spots like this were villain is repping such a tiny range of hnds that beat you but w/ no history against a guy w/ tightish stats I'd prolly still fold for teh time being.
Also i'd check flop a decent amount. |

Re: mid pair vs. aggro reg
I'm with 2Paul2 on this one. I'd fold the first time but def. make a note of this; he is really repping a tight range. Also w/ no history I like your cbet.

Re: mid pair vs. aggro reg
ok, so most everyone wants to fold the flop... I ended up calling as u guys probably guessed. he's just repping such a tight range here and its such a dry flop, I think he expects me to bet/fold here a lot w/out a hand.
so after I tank for a bit on the flop (10-15 secs maybe) he leads out on the turn almost instantly. lol, i can see where this is going [/ QUOTE ] not really, I get boned on the river. regardless of results I think between the flop/turn decisions this was probably the most interesting hand i've played in the last month. |

Re: mid pair vs. aggro reg
i guess i'm spewier than everyone else in this thread, but i call flop intending to shove over a turn bet. villain is repping 22 (of which there are 3 combos) or 88 (only 1 combo). and really not a lot else. i'm just not gonna give a 19/15 credit for being creative enough to turn up with like KQ or something here.
then if he does have the set, my image will be terrific |
