You're chopping at best. I check flop and call maybe only a small bet. I might even c/f depending on what buyin this is.

Just a question, is the half pot bet on the flop bad? I have top pair so shouldn't i make someone pay to beat me?

At a 1.20 betting 1/2 pot is fine. I play 22s-55s and would usually just check/fold flop. As played at a $1.20 it's ok.

hand reading at this level has got to be pretty tough. Honestly, he could have any pair, flush draw, straight draw, etc, check/call passive line is probably best.

Don't worry so much about that. Ask yourself whether you really care about being beaten out of a small pot. How many chips is it worth risking to win it?
