Ok, so when I come back in 2 weeks I plan on spending 2Kish on coaching at 200NL before moving up to 400. I have inquired about coaches before, but circumstances arose and I was forced to stop playing for a bit.

Please PM me with suggestions/experiences both good and bad...I'd really appreciate it...as much info as you can include would be great (rate/style of play/format of session/etc)

I guess it was mostly psychological. I turned pro at the beginning of the summer and having to move down made me try even harder. I was in a really bad mindset and in retrospect should've taken a break. Also, breaking up with my gf didn't help much either. Sigh.

Does anyone plan to try and qualify for the PCA? I really want to but I'm not sure what the best method is. I don't want to spend a ton trying, maybe like $500?

budget more if you really want to go - i spent like $6k on sats before i won one last year. Assuming the sats are the same as last time the weekly 650s are the way to go. The DS aren't that bad if you have sng experience but 650s are def softer/easier.

Also, i don't know why but people seem to go sat crazy, and think they somehow get in much cheaper if they spend a day qualifying into the 650 or w/e and get in for $100 - its probably a better use of time if you are a winner 1/2 player to just grind cash instead of playing sats and win the sat buyin that way. While its nice to say you got in from a $12DS, your hourly rate will probably be better just playing cash and using that.

Well I wasn't planning to buy-in directly to the $600 qualifiers. I'm not deadset on going to the PCA but I'd like to try.

Im in the same spot. 8ptBB/100 winner at 200NL for 40k hands, 9 at 100NL, 11 at 50NL. So I moved up to 400NL, got raped in 3k hands. Moved to 200NL, got raped in 5k hands, now Im back to 100NL and they still rape me.

I suck?

I feel ya so much, brother. I have concluded that I do indeed suck.

It's so sweet to blast RATM while playing like 75/50 and destroying nits.
