[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] I assume they'll keep raking the same increments, which means rake will essentially go up 40% . [/ QUOTE ] So 0.05EUR per 1EUR pot is a higher percentage than 0.05USD per 1USD pot? right I think what you mean is, the stakes go up 40% - then yes, the rake also goes up 40%, if people keep playing the same stakes. [/ QUOTE ] the cap goes up 40% also. [/ QUOTE ] So does your rakeback.....seriously the only way this is a negative effect at all is if you are getting heavily juiced by neteller. In fact it is probably good for you because fish who play NL ($1) probably aren't gonna move down to NL 0.5EUR, they are just going to play NL 1EUR. If you are a 5 ptbb/100 winner at NL ($1) you will probably stay a 5 ptbb/100 winner at NL 1EUR. Which in turn means you just got a pay raise. Bottom line is all these things balance out or come close to balancing out. Even the exchange rate juice from neteller can be balanced by the fact that keeping money in EUR is very +ev if the USD continues to fall. I hardly think this is worth leaving the network over. |

So does your rakeback [/ QUOTE ] So? If I pay $1000/month extra in rake and get 30% back, I'm still out $700. Unless you are getting 100% rakeback, an increase in rake is always a net loss. |

[/ QUOTE ] Are u really this dense??? You are basically being forced to move up stakes. You are moving from 100nl to ~140nl. Yah, you pay more rake, just like if you moved up from 100nl to 200nl. Like I said, the fish are being forced to move up from their normal stakes...you should be [censored] happy. EDIT: I'll expand my example. The average MGR generated per hand at .5/1 NL is 0.1047 Lets say you are currently playing 100nl USD and winning 5ptbb/100 and have 30% rakeback. If you play 50k hands of 100NL USD, you will make: Profit = 50000 * ($0.10/hand) = $5000 Total MGR = 50000 * 0.1047 = $5235 Total Rakeback = $5235 * 0.30 = $1570.5 Total Profit = $5000 + $1570.5 = $6570.50 If you play 50k hands of 100NL EUR, you will make: Profit = 50000 * (EUR0.10/hand) = EUR5000 Total MGR = 50000 * 0.1047 = EUR5235 Total Rakeback = EUR5235 * 0.30 = EUR1570.5 Total Profit = EUR5000 + EUR1570.5 = EUR6570.50 Total USD Made = EUR6570.50 * 1.4 = $9198.70 So if you are playing against the exact same players at the exact same stakes but in EUR instead of USD you make an additional $2628.20 USD, why are you leaving again??? |

Re: Boss Media *Warning*
You are the dense one. The rake cap goes up.
[ QUOTE ] The average MGR generated per hand at .5/1 NL is 0.1047 [/ QUOTE ] This changes because of the higher rake cap, obviously. It's not hard to understand. If you still don't see it, what if I tell that the rake cap on [insert site name here] is not $3 like everywhere but $5 now. Does that make you pay more rake ? |

[/ QUOTE ] Yah I see the rake cap point...but so what???? The stakes are also increasing. The cap is still 3bbs. This isn't like they changed the cap on a $100USD NL table to $4.20. If i sit down with 4 fish to play a game, and the dealer tells me I have the option to play 2/4 or 3/6, but the rake cap is going to be 3bbs regardless, I am going to play 3/6 every time. Yes, i'm going to be paying more in rake, but i'm going to have the exact same bb/100 edge post-rake with a higher bb, can you really not see why this benefits you?? |

Re: Boss Media *Warning*
When it was $$$ the most any pot at any level would ever be raked was $3
Now that it's €€€ the most any pot at any level will ever be raked is €3 €3 > $3 Therefore, any time the rake is capped you are paying more in rake regardless of the stakes you are playing. The rake cap has nothing to do with bb/sb/stakes/your mom/ect. It is a fixed amount for ALL stakes. Stop being retarded. |

Re: Boss Media *Warning*
The cap going up is the only factor that makes some limits worse. If one plays 100-200 euro tables one is paying a rake of 3e, but if one plays 200-400 TRY (the same as 100-200 euro) one pays a rake of 1.5e, that's a half rake. When going down the limits the difference keeps getting smaller as one is paying e.g. a 2e rake on the flop vs. a 1e rake when one plays a higher limit.
The fact that there are dollar tables used to be not so good for me till I saw that the rake is lower too. But it's not clear if one is not going to suffer from it, e.g. a double cap is a $6 when one could just move up a limit and have a rake cap at $3. They say they will just increase the eurotables, and it rates to be profits for all (they say that to the players too, thouht not saying what's bad about it); to the house and to us (if one is winning, and most are not, and the fish is busting out faster, though the house is not getting any more rake from them as the fish is busting out faster). They will still have dollar tables too, and maybe TRY tables. They have a straight type of a rake at limit games, that makes it high at the difficult levels from 2-4 to 5-10, though one can still pass those level either by playing in lower rake tougher games or getting rb at looser games, but it's really something I hate at the current limit holdem games. And the rake increase is not something nice to face there, though it should make no difference if one can break even. |
