Re: WCOOP Event #15 Official Thread
Out (Q8)Q obv < (63)2 off. Oh well, all in all it was fun. I was short the whole tourney and never really had a chance to play. There was a half hour where I had an average stack and played my best. Played a couple really good hands and played them well. Got 2 bad beats shortly there after on 7th street and played short for the rest of the tourney. Eventually the BI reraised me with the 632 and caught 2 pair on 5th, and I bricked. GG me.
Havent played in months, so it feels good to go sorta deep. Maybe this will spark my interest back in the game. |

Whats goin on you guys still in? [/ QUOTE ] i got 13th.. stacks got very short at the end. I was average when we got to 16 w/ 8BB. The two big hands in the final 16 were split kings losing to a four flush (he had half my stack). Got back up to 6BB and lost with (Q3)Q versus a bringin who defended (37)3 and turned two pair. We jammed it in on fourth + fifth and I didn't get there. Generally, the wcoop limit structures suck, in that there is way too much play in the first thre or four levels, and not nearly enough at the end. The same problem that they had at the WSOP. They should cut the first two levels, start at 30/60, 50/100, 80/160, 100/200; and insert 600/1200, 1250/2500, 4k/8k, 6k/12k. Half hour levels is nice and all, but 500/1k ---> 750/1500 ---> 1k/2k ----> 1.5k/3k ---> 2k/4k ---> 3k/6k ---> 5k/10k ---> 7.5k/15k is ridiculous |

I'd agree that the levels towards the end are sick, but I guess 30 min levels are better than nothing, but it usually seems like once you get deep 10BBs is a big stack. |

Congrats on the finish, that is still a nice little score. [/ QUOTE ] Thanks, I'm definitely happy with the cash, I'd be saying this about the structure if I'd won the thing too. I like playing all the horse games, but stud high is the one I play the least. And yet somehow, I've played exactly two stud high tournaments in my life (not counting a couple wcoop satellites); I final tabled the $500 at gold strike (tunica) in January, and this. |
