This was/is a hole in my game live. When ever you try to change strategy because of a couple of fishes at the table, the other solid players at the table can cause you some serious trouble. You have to reraise because of the guy behind you, unless you want to mineset with JJ. Everybody is involved with the hand until they fold-bet appropriately.

Just raise preflop to $15 (a nice small, but not too small raise), and either c-b or c/c or c/f depending on the number of players to the flop, who they are, how they look, and the board texture. I think playing JJ for a limp/rr was a little too much FPS.

If you raise to $15, and then if this particular guy on the button reraises, but the solid guy was your only other caller behind you, you should consider pushing preflop if you don't have sufficient implied odds to call and play for set value. I doubt the solid guy calls that kind of action with any hand that he wouldn't have already reraised you with earlier in the round. So you end up all-in vs button's range of AT-AK/TT-AA with the blinds and the solid guy's $15 as overlay.

I think you should of posted this in BBV. I'm not on a high horse, I just pointed out that if you had Button nailed for AK his chances of improving were around 12% on the turn. Seemed like C/C was the logical line given your read.
If you raise he folds AK and you make no more money and you get called by hands that beat you. My logic might be flawed, so point out where and we will both learn something.

I agree with whoever said just open for a raise. You have to RR once you decided to limp and the fish raises on the button though. He might have a worse pair he will go with or it might be a coinflip(big deal). Calling is the worst play here b/c you let two people see the flop and the guy on your left has relative position(it is likely the flop will check to button fish so he will act last after button bets and effectively traps you between them) and you have no idea what anyone is holding.

I think your logic is on, we fold out hands we want to call from the fishy player, and we get action from hands that beat us and more likely from a better opponent than the fish. C/C>>C/R
