Am I crazy?
Single elimination pool, 75 runners, about 50 left. I like to take some weaker teams at the begining, saving some of the stronger teams for later in the season. Good strategy, or should I just take the safe route and pick NE or Pitt? I've picked Was and Chi so far. |

You're crazy. Don't risk getting knocked out so early. There will be plenty of strong teams later in the year for you to choose.
I like the Jets to win this week too, but nowhere near as much as I like Baltimore, Pittsburgh, or New England. - C - |

Oh, sorry I didn't explain the rules better.
Everyone picks one game per week, straight up, no spread. You can only pick the same team once. Single elimination, you lose your out. |

I'm almost certain the best strategy is, in most circumstances, to maximize your chances of winning the current week and not worrying about future weeks. I know it's nice to have NE in your pocket to use in the future, but if you worked out the probability trees of your options you'd be best taking the surest thing immediately.
I certainly wouldn't take the Jets...there are about 8-9 teams off the top of my head that I'd prefer this week, possibly more. |
