How's my line? My PT database is having issues, so no Gametime+ on this guy.

Re: heads up ace high
I fold A7o preflop.
Check/call river. Ace high may still have showdown value against busted draws. |

Re: heads up ace high
No reads on villain since he just sat and posted this hand.
A7o I usually fold full ring, but 7 handed with one poster behind and 2 folds I raised here. Still not sure about it although I think it's close. Villain called with 88. I need to stop spewing shorthanded. Happy New Year. |

[/ QUOTE ] If I had a pretty good table image & the players behind me were fairly tight, I'd give it a shot here as well. The short-handed nature of the table makes this pretty much the same as being in MP3 in a full game, and again depending on the players behind me, I'll try a steal raise from there with A7o. Especially with a poster behind me. When you get called on that flop, though, and the offsuit J hits on the turn, I think it's a pretty good spot to give up on the hand. It seems like the times you miss out on a bet to a flush or other draw will easily be outweighed by the times you get called by a pair. |

Re: heads up ace high
I find a check/fold on the turn, or for certain on the river (and hope villain checks behind with a busted draw). Our redraws are slim as of the turn, the board is semi-coordinated, and a lot of the time villain has a crappy pair, we're outkicked or we're reverse dominated.
A7 is a marginal play at best, to isolate a known fish, which villain is not, or steal tight blinds, which probably wasn't gonna happen with the addition of a poster behind you. |
