to summarise my brief chat he said that PLO is often not a game worth playing..even if you're an expert..because of the huge pots where you would play either hand if you had it...I just know I have yet to figure out how to win in this game myself...so I ask..do you think it is worth the time to get good at a game that isnt worth playing even if you;re an expert? Of course that is David Grey's opinion..what is yours?

Simple answer: any game where you can find bad players who don't know what they're doing is worth playing. PLO qualifies in spades, no matter how much variance it may have.
Grey's comment basically says that PLO variance is very high, but this has less to do with whether or not it's worth playing than what stakes you should be playing at. |

I think this is the guy who told me at the WSOP that he preferred 579J to 789T, because there are more ways to fill the gaps.
