Re: $27 ATs early vs river push
I think this is a value-bet most of the time, and sometimes a bluff. Hard to say without a read..I might call, but I don`t think it`s profitable

Re: $27 ATs early vs river push
Might be a busted FD... If it was TP, I'd might find a call, but as it stands I'm folding.

Muck. I fold pre. I probably open AJs/AQo here. Flop is good, turn good, riv is a fold.

Re: $27 ATs early vs river push
I like it, with a fold on the river. I think this is a set more often than a bluff. It's too early to gamble.

Re: $27 ATs early vs river push
I like a second barrell on the turn after he checks to you, he could be calling the flop bet with alot of different hands, overcards small pairs etc. The Q & 2nd bet on the turn may scare him away, if not you still have a fd and an A. As played I fold.

Re: $27 ATs early vs river push
I wouldn`t fold preflop, but the hand is in the bottom of my range

Re: $27 ATs early vs river push
preflop - i will do the same - the only reason that i can think of for other players suggesting you should fold is to lower your attempt to steal stat overall. however, you are in position, i will raise with a wide range of hands
flop bet is fine. turn check is the most questionable part for me, however, i will check the same way you did, just because the board paired on the flop and most people will beleive that you didn't hit that low flop. river - easy fold. |

Re: $27 ATs early vs river push
Preflop I dont mind it, but usually I dont bother for 45 chips.
The flop is an obvious cbet, checking here would be really bad I think. Checking the turn for pot control is good, unless he floated the flop or has A-5 or something its unlikely you can get a fold here, plus its level 1 and drawing to the free river card is good. River is a clear fold, you have 1200 chips left at 15-30. If hes bluffing more power to him, if he isnt then be glad you checked the turn as he may have been looking to C/R |

Re: $27 ATs early vs river push
As played this river kinda sucks really. Villian will be bluffing a certain amount of the time but not enough to make a hero call here without a read. I think your line is fine but I would have played this hand slighlty differently given the texture of that flop.
Pre Flop I will raise. Flop. I would check behind on this flop with the intention of calling < PSB on the turn or making a delayed c-bet. <ul type="square">[*]The board has paired so its unlikely to have hit villian.[*]We have a draw to the nut flush so a free card helps us more then it helps villian.[*]We get value from villian who will bluff the turn but may have folded to a c-bet on the flop.[/list]If villian bets turn and river it becomes an clearer fold on the if we do not improve. |
