stud/8 hand for review
Seat 2 is kinda fishy but I can't quite put my finger on why. His VPIP is 53% over 180 hands and is probably too much of a calling station.
Who likes a bet on 6th? What your plan for the River? Seat 3 folds regardless. With the Kings first to act, what do you do if it goes: 1) bet, call 2) bet, raise 3) check, bet, Hero calls, raise, raise 7 Card Stud High-Low ($1/$2), Ante $0.20, Bring-In $0.25 (converter) 3rd Street - (1.40 SB) Seat 2: xx xx 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]___calls Seat 3: xx xx J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]___calls Hero: 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]___calls Seat 5: xx xx K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]___calls Seat 6: xx xx K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]___folds Seat 7: xx xx 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]___brings-in Seat 8: xx xx A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]___folds 4th Street - (2.65 SB) Seat 2: xx xx 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]___checks Seat 3: xx xx J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]___checks Hero: 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]___checks Seat 5: xx xx K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]___checks Seat 7: xx xx 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]___checks 5th Street - (1.33 BB) Seat 2: xx xx 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]___calls___calls Seat 3: xx xx J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]___calls___calls Hero: 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]___raises Seat 5: xx xx K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]___bets___calls Seat 7: xx xx 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]___folds 6th Street - (9.33 BB) Seat 2: xx xx 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]___checks Seat 3: xx xx J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]___checks Hero: 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]___checks Seat 5: xx xx K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]___checks River - (9.33 BB) Seat 2: xx xx 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] xx___ Seat 3: xx xx J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] xx___folds Hero: 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]___ Seat 5: xx xx K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] xx___ Total pot: (18.33 BB - $36.65) |

Re: stud/8 hand for review
i'm leaning to bet/raise as seat 2 didn't bet on 4th when he got a 4 and didn't bet when he got the ace on 6th so i don't think he has a made low, maybe on a low draw on 6th. so you low maybe good. a king was folded on 3rd so makes trips less likely and he could just have the kings or two pair. i think i would raise unless it went bet raise i might just call.
also given that seat 5 checked on 6th i don't really think he would check trips there so i would be more inclined to bet raise 7th. |

Re: stud/8 hand for review
i'm betting 4th, betting/jamming 6th and jamming the river. if this is one of those spots you get coolered and don't pick up anything, oh well.
get some money into the pot though. 4th is your worst street i think, especially when you're only competition for the low draw is mister 53% vpip. make him pay. |

Re: stud/8 hand for review
lol, i don't like the play on any street, i'm sorry. seriously what are you waiting for...
raise third, bet fourth, raise 5th, bet 6th...this hand seems pretty standard and you played it extremely awkwardly |

Re: stud/8 hand for review
I raise third, but I enjoy gambling. Why you would check fourth is beyond me. At least you found the raise on fifth. Bet sixth. What the hell are you afraid of? The river action is messed up, but I'm raising unless it's a bet and a raise to me, in which case I at least call.

Re: stud/8 hand for review
I would raise third, you may be able to bluff out the jack later because you have the ace up and if seat 2 sucks you are making money against him.
Bet 4th for value and because seat 2 sucks. Bet/raise 6th because seat 2 didn't bet on 4th, so he very likely does not have a made low. River is weird, but you will scoop more than you get scooped unless it is bet and raised to you. Probably raise otherwise. There may be an aggressive player with kings up and a busted low draw (maybe trip sixes even?) against you. |

Re: stud/8 hand for review
raise raise raise raise raise raise raise raise raise raise raise
Is the best line in this hand. You can mix it up by betting every time it is checked to you. You had everyone right where you wanted them and then charged them almost nothing. |

[ QUOTE ]
raise raise raise raise raise raise raise raise raise raise raise Is the best line in this hand. You can mix it up by betting every time it is checked to you. You had everyone right where you wanted them and then charged them almost nothing. [/ QUOTE ] I wasn't aware of Villain's VP$IP being so high, so perhaps I shouldn't have included that in my reads. Regardless I probably should have raised 3rd, etc. I think I didn't in part because I was losing this session and because it was already a multiway pot, I didn't want to bloat it more than necessary. Sometimes I get this idea that it's better to keep it smaller so that I can make it easier for opponents I want to fold to so on a later street. Anyway once 4th street comes I feel my hand is totally exposed and that I'm up against a superior low draw; plus I'm OOP against him. Check and let him see what he does. I knew 6th was a bet, esp since his check was so weak but I just didn't pull the trigger. 7th Street went bet, call, I raised, raise, call, I called :-/. Kings full of Fives won for high and I took low. Seat 2's hole cards were A22. |
