Re: TJ tough spot
I'd like to see some people suggesting a call elaborate a little further on why they think it's best.

[/ QUOTE ] Because he has far more combinations of aces then tens, there is only 1 ten while there are 3 aces. I think he make this move with AK/AQ protecting against flush and straight draws so this pushes it to being a call imo. |

Re: TJ tough spot
lol what a sick hand - its not a tough spot though really.
UTG, the only player who showed strength preflop, has folded. given that nobody re-raised and their stats are as they are, we can rule out AA. So what other hands are we worried about? Well, the other hands which beat us are AT, KT, and QT. Given that there are two T's on the board, and we hold the other one, the likelyhood of the other T being in one of our opponents hands is remote, and the likelyhood of them both holding a T is zero unless online poker really is rigged. At this point, what reason do we have to think we are behind? Well, mathematically, not a very good one. Lets look at the main points: 1. Nobody showed strength preflop, so AA is remote. 2. The liklyhood of there being another T out there is minimal 3. If there is another T out, we are ahead of more T's than we are behind. 4. Both our opponents are SICK loose aggressive, and we can deduce that they are more than likely to overplay their hands Given all of these things, we can definitely put our opponents on hands like: 1. Nut flush draws 2. Pairs + flush draws 3. Bare aces 4. Lower tens 5. Combo draws (like KQcc) Note that we actually interfere with a lot of these hands. If our opponent has KQ, we are holding a J hostage, and if they have the NFD, we can make a house and invalidate it. All in all, I think we can safely say that 1. We have the best hand a LOT of the time here and 2. Even if we dont, we have some outs 3. The odds we are getting to call in this monster pot are WAY too attractive to pass up. This is an easy call for me. My thought process on the table would be as such: 1. Both lags, wide range 2. Aces not possible 3. Trips over trips is a cooler 4. Sick odds 5. Call Doesn't get much more simple than that. |
