[/ QUOTE ] Yeah I think focusing on the asian stererotype as I did was probably not a good idea. I shouldve just focused on playing against aggressive players. The OP gave me the impression that this player was aggressive but that may or may not be true. My mental model for calling down in this spot is still the same as I mentioned. If this guy's not aggressive then obviously everything changes and we have a pretty easy turn fold. |

yet another reason to check the turn is that it's gonna be somewhat hard for you to get 2 more BB worth of value betting once the ace hits. Checking widens his river leading and river checkcalling range.
