JJ vs. all-in after the bubble
About 10 hands after the bubble broke in a $1.25 double stack 90 man SNG. UTG was short and has shoved 3 times since the bubble and has shown down Q10s, doubling up.
Full Tilt Poker No Limit Holdem Tournament Blinds: t200/t400 (Ante: t50) 9 players Converter Pre-flop: (9 players) Hero is MP2 with J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] UTG raises all-in t7900, 2 folds, Hero ? I figured his range was two broadway, mid to high pair or suited ace with a middling kicker. I'm confident playing short-stacked in these and have come back to get 2nd/4th the last two times I've scraped into the money. So I'm in no hurry to gamble. Basically I hate calling with jacks because even if I'm ahead it's not by a whole lot most of the time. I've only been playing for two months so this might be a stupid question. Is this a standard fold or call, or is it iffy? Thanks. |

Re: JJ vs. all-in after the bubble
Your stacks and the stacks of the rest of the table matter, but this is a really standard call in almost all situations.

Re: JJ vs. all-in after the bubble
Oh, yeah. I'm not sure which converter people usually use. Anyway, stacks:
Seat 1: Hero (7,715) Seat 2: NutinButTrouble (12,205) Seat 3: brcsctt (9,865) Seat 4: NoranRad (15,070) Seat 5: tiburonlcl (12,295) Seat 6: erlsalem (7,580) Seat 7: UTG (7,950) Seat 8: Cy257 (15,870) Seat 9: Skijick (26,580) Thanks for your reply. |

Re: JJ vs. all-in after the bubble
Looking at the stacksizes at your table, this is an instacall for me. Doubt if he does this with AA or KK,so you should be ahead or racing here. Infact, think you'll see a smaller pair here ALOT!!
