100nl QQ vs. 22/8/1.15 What is standard here ?
Villain: 22/8/1.15 What is standard here ? Call and bet/raise any turn non-heart/A/K ? Or can I push here and hope to emulate a FD and get called by something like AJ (looking back this is doubtful). call and c/f turn vs this guy. His rr range is tight, you basically only beat AK, maybe TT, but he probably wont call a push.

I hate these spots against semi passive players. You are most likely dead if he calls your c/r and are probably only a coinflip against his cbetting range at all. Depends on his 3betting tendencies of course. But i guess this is standard w/o position. Calling sucks because there are too many bad cards to come.

To tell you the truth I didn't like the push against villain. As stated his 3bet range is very narrow and I doubt I get called by worse.
The only problem is there are so many scare cards, any heart, any king, any ace, and I also think a ten or a jack vs. this villain might be bad too. |

Re: 100nl QQ vs. 22/8/1.15 What is standard here ?
scare cards to you, not villain. your logic is muddled. The "scare card" argument is used when cards might come that will deter your opponent in giving you action with worse hands in his range. However, all the "scare cards" you mentioned just helps his range of hands.
I think maybe you mean something else? |

Looking back I agree, vs. this villain there is no way hes 3-betting AJ here.
So what is the best line here? Lots of turn scare cards, a good opponent who's only likely to call with better if we push?? |

What I mean is that there are lots of cards that are bad for us, that will slow our action down. |

Re: 100nl QQ vs. 22/8/1.15 What is standard here ?
we dont want action. The cards won't slow our action down, they'll give us more if anything because now we're beat by vritually all of villains range.
pf: id estimate his range to be JJ+ AK maaybe TT(although unlikely) flop: J high. ok so now you're ahead of AK/(maybe)TT thats it. Any "scare cards" just help those hands. They're "scare cards" to us, not villain. Although we don't call them that because we have no fear! And just make calculated plays based on our opponents likely holdings. I'm probably not explaining myself very well here, i appologise. |
