Re: 50NL: Playing a straight with a flush on board
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] set-two pair? maybe im an idiot but yeah. [/ QUOTE ] With this board i think only a poor player with set would call your raise , with 2 pairs 99% decent players will fold. I will call his bet on the river with my straight but that's it, a raise is not worth here. [/ QUOTE ] But are 99% of the players playing 50nl all decent above average players? |

[/ QUOTE ] Dont underestimate you opponent, is the biggest mistake, this player was bad true(50/0/2) but for me, raising is still not the best option. Maybe minraise in 10% cases because this opponent is bad, but 90% I will only call his bet. |

Re: 50NL: Playing a straight with a flush on board
No you have position and you want to avoid being check raised and lose the ability to suck out if the 4th club hits and your q high flush is good

good hand played well small raise on the river and expect to get called. to address others points why would you raise if you expected villan to fold?(thats a bluff) betting turn is soooo gross take the free card cause this guy is going to pay us off when we hit. |
