Turning Stone Help! Please Look
Okay guys so here's the deal. I have never been to Turning Stone before but I am planning on going up with a buddy for a night either on the 31st of August (friday night) or on the 1st of September (Saturday night). I was just looking to get a room online but the only problem is I can't find a room for any less than $400. Doesn't this seem a little to steep> I would like to stay at one of the hotels that belongs to Turning Stone if at all possible. GUYS please help me find a reasonable room!
Also I understand they offer the poker room rate for $85 bucks or so but I would like to make sure I have a room secured before I get to Turning Stone. Just for kicks can someone explain to me how exactly the poker room rate works? Thanks Edonk |

Re: Turning Stone Help! Please Look
i think they are running some major tourneys up there last week and this week. If this is the case, you're boned.

Re: Turning Stone Help! Please Look
Turning Stone has a property located a couple miles down the road called The Inn at Turning Stone. They provide free shuttle service between there and the casino. I would look into this as I think nights there tend to be less than $100/night.

Just for kicks can someone explain to me how exactly the poker room rate works? [/ QUOTE ] Basically you just have to play four hours per night, although verification of your actual play time is pretty lax. 1) Call the TS Poker Room at 800.386.5366 2) Press 4 to book a room at the poker rate. 3) Tell the clerk that you'd like to book a room at the poker rate for 08/31. 4) The clerk tells you that the poker rate is sold out because you waited way too long to book a room on a holiday weekend. 5) If for some reason the poker rate isn't sold out for that date (about a 2% chance), she will book your room reservation. Your room will be "guaranteed", no need to worry about them taking it out from under you. |

Also, if you are going no matter what and need a cheap place to stay, search Expedia for hotels in Rome, NY (about ten miles away). Most are pretty skanky, but it's a bed, a shower, and a locked door.

Re: Turning Stone Help! Please Look
Whenever a thread says "... Please Look!!!!1!" I know I shouldn't.
In the future, it would be helpful if you title the thread something like "Need help finding cheap Turning Stone hotel 8/31" |

Re: Turning Stone Help! Please Look
Just find a cheap hotel a reasonable drive from the casino. Since TS doesn't serve alcohol, its not like you'll have to drive back to the hotel drunk from free casino drinks.
