Bankroll is important, skill is important, game selection is important, strong mental discipline is important. It's all about doing all these, and more, well. Do too much of any of these things badly and you will likely be a losing NL player.

10 minutes of tilt, for example, can cost a few BBs in limit but cost you half your bankroll in NL.



Basically, all I'm saying is if you switch games, be prepared to work at it. NL may be more profitable at SS but if your BE at limit 2/4 I don't think changing will magically make you a winner.
