In a previous blog post , I'd offered a 10k bracelet bet to Phil Gordon, basically because I think he's terrible and I hate his on-table persona and commentary. Luckily z32fanatic was at his FTOPS table today and directed him to the blog and IM'd me to come to the table. After some negotiating in chat and via email, we booked the bet.
If you scroll down in the link, you'll see his reply in the comments. I also posted our table chat in the latest entry. Brag: 10k +ev bet booked. Beat: Gordon owns me by asking if I want to kick it up to 100k. Variance: Donkaments. |

That was actually a good response by Phil, and a rather polite way of calling him a douche by you. Much classier than Lindgren; I do like how Phil is handling it professionaly. I wonder if this will come up in WSOP commentary the next time either of you make a FT. That would be straight up gangster if you guys ended up playing HU for a bracelet.
I'd like to add the idea that it may be smart to put the $20k in an interest-bearing account. That way when one of you finally does win you can make a little more than 1 to 1 on your money. |
