League \'Owner\' rips us off
I joined a poker league this year. I was invited by a co-worker. There's a prize pool that grows over the season and is played for by the eight players with the highest points.
The guy who ran it is a bit of a tool. He made a change to the structure and took some heat for it, and made him disproportionately angry. Then, a few players didn't show up for that month's tourney to play in another game. Again, he overreacted and refused to schedule further events. Fine, whatever. I asked my co-worker if he's heard anything and he says no. What about the money in the prize pool (about $400)? "..." he says. "I hadn't thought about it." Now, the guy's not returning my co-worker's phone calls. How pissed should I be about this? I was eight in points after the last tournament. |

Re: League \'Owner\' rips us off
Actually, you probably got some good info for a relatively cheap price.
I'd still go after the money, with the rest of them, but the host is an idiot and should be dropped |

Re: League \'Owner\' rips us off
Kind of like the guy who quit his job at Bear Stearns after he bet $4000 from the college basketball pool he was running. He lost and emailed the boss to say he quit. He then dodged those looking to collect for months

Re: League \'Owner\' rips us off
Ask for a full refund. If he says no, threaten to contact the police.
