OT: My initial forray into SNG\'s (Thanks STTF)
Let me first start by saying thanks to alot of the poster here who have given me advice as for the last 3-4 months I have gone from a losing SNG player to a winning one. I know I still have a lot to learn but I'm giving it a go. That said I do have a full-time job which I am very happy with and an active social life so poker as great as it is does not dominate my life. I have put in about 800 SNG's since joining 2+2 and I want to make a record for myself as much as anyone else of how I went in the start.
Below is an image of my sharkscope stats as of yesterday. Towards the end I played 4 16's again and did alright, I think I am planning on mixing a set of 16's in my play everynow and again before I think I am ready to move up again. Obv. from looking at the graph I still have a few leaks that need to be sorted out but I think I have the fundamentals almost sorted. Thanks again guys....and for greatness -----> |

Re: OT: My initial forray into SNG\'s (Thanks STTF)
When I go to play I generally do a few different ways of playing.
1. 6 tables tiled (most common) 2. 5 tables tiled watching TV/Downloads in the other part of screed (Usually it's poker I have been watching the PPV telecast of the mainevent recently which is good cos I don't really need to concentrate on it.) I know this is -EV but as I said I work full-time and I like to make the most of my down time. 3. 9-12 tiled Usually reserved for weekends. (fits with a slight overlap on my 22" monitor) 4. When I played the 16's in order to concentrate better on them I only had 4 going and really put the effort into each one. I will probably add more tables when I feel like I am beating them comfortably. |

I have gone from a losing SNG player to a winning one. [/ QUOTE ] Are you sure about this?! From your graph your running a 7% on 6.5?!?! Honestly, your a marginal winner at this level. Look at FAQ for ROI. You should be around 10-15% at least. [ QUOTE ] Towards the end I played 4 16's again and did alright, I think I am planning on mixing a set of 16's in my play everynow [/ QUOTE ] Please learn BR management. Play with at least 50 buyins especially with turbos and even more. Read FAQ here again Anyway congrats on becoming profitable on SnGs, now you have to gain confidence, fix those leaks and move up when you have enought buyin to play without playing scared. |
