Question for Black Folk
What are some of worst insults a black person can say to another black person (comments that probably wouldn't apply/or be understood by someone from another race. For instance being called an A-hole is an insult that includes all races, especially NT!'s )? Here are the ones I hear the most:
1) Uncle Tom 2) "You have no soul." 3) Having an inability to "Keep it real." Number 1 is said by both black men & women, but number 2 & 3 I've only heard said by black women. Number 2, "you have no soul," I've heard said by black women to black men who probably grew up in all-white/middle-class neighborhoods, and have slightly nerdy personalities. The comment that "you have no soul" seems to really hurt/aggravate the person it's intended to hurt. I assume this is why so many well educated black people start 'talking black' when in the company of other black people who talk with some degree of 'soul.' |
