NL25: Set over Set
Villain had a set of 10's.
Was there any getting away from this? Am guessing that I was just destined to get a felting on this one. Comments? Standard? Comments on my raise on the turn? Was trying to get all of my chips in, the right move? Re: NL25: Set over Set
He can post this here. He's not complaining about it being a bad beat, he's asking if he could have gotten away from this one.
I think the answer is no. In my experience, there's rarely anything you can do in set over set situations. The board doesn't indicate anything that would suggest a laydown. I think your turn raise is fine given that the board is drawy. You don't want to make it cheap for villain to get to river. |

Re: NL25: Set over Set
Cooler.. for a fact. I am felted here too. My thinking is if he has set over my set, good hand and continue.

100bb deep there's no way to get away from set under set situations.
