Re: [NL 5] 2x four of a kind
first hand it looks like you got pretty good value.
second hand, i'm betting that flop every time, because 22+ will look me up quite often, but not so much on the turn. |

Re: [NL 5] 2x four of a kind
second hand you made your bets way too small... .12 on flop, ~.32 on turn, .80 on river is what im doing

Re: [NL 5] 2x four of a kind
okay, i had really no idea what villian could have, thought he had hit a 9 on the turn.

Re: [NL 5] 2x four of a kind
I think these spots are sort of tough to get a lot of value from unless the player you're in the pot realizes that he can't really fold a boat there because your range is so wide (at least that's my general understanding).
You could have probably bet a bit more on the turn, but even half pot is ok there, although it's getting to be a very draw heavy board so I'd be more inclined to lead for at least 2/3 pot, probably closer to 3/4; I think you're getting a draw to come along for that price just as much as half, especially if I know the opponent is prone to paying any price to draw. River I'm raising a bit more in that spot, probably closer to pot; sometimes if the villain is a total nut I'd overbet it. |

Re: [NL 5] 2x four of a kind
Hand 1: bet 2/3 of the pot on the turn. You have a good hand but still got to protect against the flushdraw. On the river you can go all-in. He almost never calls that, but if he does you win big.
Hand 2: you will never win much here unless he has AA or KK or is a donk with a 9. But actually it doesn't really matter that much, because you almost never have quads. Even if you lose your total stack everytime when you have quads it doesn't matter for your overall winrate |

[/ QUOTE ] Kinda theoretical, but if he's going to call $5 once out of every 4 times, and call $1 every time, you're still better of betting $5. |

Re: [NL 5] 2x four of a kind
1st hand: bet pot maybe on flop, then we have turn/river. he CALLED You on flop, so he probably DOESNT BELIEVE YOU HAVE ACE so You should bet MORE both on turn and river.
2nd hand: i would min-raise the flop, so he can think I'm weak and maybe he would raise me but at that limits I strongly believe he won't, and He doesn't even know min-raising is weak... :P |
