8/16 Live 77
Villain is a well dressed middle aged asian dude who I've played maybe 20 hands with. So far he is very loose and aggro, and I have a pretty tight image. I've seen him take shots at pots with only a draw and bet them the whole way. He has just turned on the kill on the button.
2 limpers to him, he checks, I call 77 in the SB, BB calls. Flop: 568r I bet, folded to villain who raises, I call. Turn: 6d (two diamonds on board) I check, he bets, I call River: Ks I check, he bets, I call Standard? 3bet the flop? I felt that while there was a chance that he may have an 8 or a 6, he could also just as easily have a 5, or a gutshot, or even overcards / air. |

It's fine. If you're not sure whether you can 3bet this flop OOP then the answer is no.

Re: 8/16 Live 77
Thanks guys. After I called the river, villain simply mucked his hand. He later told me that he had Q5, although I find that hard to believe since I don't think he would just muck his hand w/o seeing mine if he had a piece, which leads me to believe he probably just had air or Q4 or something.
