Re: ***July LC Thread*** - Yeah it\'s late...
[ QUOTE ]
Easycall: I was on holiday from late june to 17th of july, so I couldn't really get many hands in this month. However, I'm a student and gonna start on a master degree in august, so don't think I'll get more than around 20k hands in per month. I'm only playing 2 tables at the moment, but considering getting a better monitor and up it to 3. I find 2 tables pretty relaxing though, but I guess I could manage 3 as well. I'm never going back to 6 max either. No way. And I'm playing nl200 with a 13kish roll, which I like to think is pretty safe. Not moving up to nl400 until I have 20k or something like that, I think. You think that sounds ok? [/ QUOTE ] ya i'm in school too. i think 50 buy-ins are fine. You play euro sites right? I wish I could. Sigh. My roll is > $30k again after this month and I still play 200nl hu mainly, so whatever. I'll play higher if I see a target, but right now I think game selection is prime at 200nl so I'm just sticking there. I'll play higher, obv, but really I just came back with the intentions of just grinding. Ideally I should be making no less than 10k a month playing as many hands as I do at 200 hu, but poker is never a for certain thing, so bleh. Take this month for example, haha. But, I think 50 buy-in fine. Just, me personally, I really don't care to play a lot higher, I think the games are a lot diff these days post FRISTAMENTS. So meh, I know I can play at the higher limits, have before and been fine...but I'm content grinding, taking shots in donkaments (have a pretty fun schedule for wcoop and ftops coming up) and just grinding. but who knows, maybe i'll change my mind once my roll is 40-50k, which I dont think will take longer than a month, maybe 1.5 months. I think point is...you should play where you enjoy it the most, it's relatively stress free, and you are winning with a respectable win rate. The best thing with playing with a big roll for me has been able to take the 15-20 buy-in downswings with a grain of salt and realize that I wont go bust if i just keep playing my game and yada yada. gl with 400nl. oh, and adding tables hu is really just about comfort. play 2 guys, get a good read, and then add a new one...and so forth...then you'll get good enough, hopefully, where you can just fire em' all up at once and get to work. 1k hands/hour is great. ;0 |

Sharkscope leaders at the lower limits are overrated. Not sure what limits you play.
