$5 SNG TT on Bubble
Stakes: 150/300 Current level: 5 Next level in: 3 min.
Seat 4 : ehyates has $5,270 (Villian) Seat 5 : ActionJan has $5,060 (Hero) Seat 7 : Bird Flan has $2,015 Seat 9 : Bigwillow has $5,655 Bigwillow is the dealer. ehyates posted small blind. ActionJan posted big blind. Game [55] started with 4 players. Dealing Hole Cards. Seat 5 : ActionJan has Th Ts Bird Flan folded. Bigwillow folded. ehyates called 150 and raised 2,400 Info on players: ehyates had recently lost a big pot and lost over half his stack. (to me ) Anyway, he started playing pretty aggressively after that with very big bets and raises in order to steal blinds and build his stack up, which he was doing pretty well at. With this bet, it seemed like another big bet to push me out of the pot and take the blinds. Other info: BirdFlan, the short stack, was either on post/fold or no longer in the game and was just getting blinded away. So my choices: Since ehyates raised me half the pot, my only choices are move in or fold. If I move all-in I risk going out on the bubble What would you do? |

Re: $5 SNG TT on Bubble
Absent a read, I'd fold this and wait for shortie to bust out. I'd assume Villain was playing 99+/AJ+ and I was no better than 50/50.
With your read, I'd probably push. Let's assume Villain is playing 44+/A3s+/A8+/KJ+. We might still see something ugly when his cards flip over -- but there's now a meaningful chance that we're way ahead. And if Villain is going to play this way for the rest of the tourney, we gotta take him on at some point. |
