[ QUOTE ] What's the perceived downside to pushing here? Looks incredibly standard. [/ QUOTE ] Well, Villain kinda knows we have an overpair so just folds everything that we beats and calls with the rest. The only worse hand would be QQ or a naked flush draw; all flushdraws+something are about a 50/50 flip. [/ QUOTE ] Unknown NL50 villain will call with most jacks. |

Unknown NL50 villain will call with most jacks. [/ QUOTE ]Maybe I'm overestimating villains but he would coldcall KJ and raise the flop with it? I could see him coldcalling and calling the flop but not raising it. |

[/ QUOTE ] lol i dont think so, at these stakes villain will push all AJ\KJ maybe even QJ imo. if he calls with str8 draw\flush draw thats what we want. we cant sit around and wait for oppurtunities where we are 98% favourites in a hand before we commit chips shove! |

Re: NL50 KK what to do on flop
This looks like first time villian has cold called pre-flop with you at table. You need to make decision now, are you willing to felt this hand now, it looks like flush draw raise or set protecting there hand. I think Push or Fold.
3 betting commits you almost completely. IMO-Push But it is very close. |

Re: NL50 KK what to do on flop
20 hands doesnt realy mean much as far as villians stats so I will just assume he is standard 50NL player. so... this could be pretty much AJ, KJ, prob QJ sets and FD with overs or some sort of monster combo draw.
Shove prob gets called by AJ KJ and every thing else your are behind or fliping agianst. I mean standard here is prob push or fold right? But assume we decide we are not folding is call flop push or c/rAI safe turn better? |

Re: NL50 KK what to do on flop
I mix it up between shoving flop and calling and shoving non scary turn, This is a fairly draw heavy board so there is a plethera of hands he could be holding. You currently beat his range but a bunch of his range ur basically flipping with. But you still need to shove this with overpairs and top pairs often enough that you can do the same with sets and flopped straights etc.
