Firefox never closes bug, Vista
Hey I have windows vista and have updated firefox at least once since the problem started. Here's the problem:
Often, but not always, when I exit out of firefox, the window will close, however in task manager firefox isn't actually closed, and continues to run in the processes, not the open programs. I can open another window of firefox, but this slows the computer down a bit and about 75% of the time the pages won't load. Any ideas on a fix? I've tried reinstalling and reparing firefox. For some reason IE works fine but I hate IE with a passion. And don't say netscape. Is this a known problem? Thanks! |

Re: Firefox never closes bug, Vista
I've had this happen with with XP, too, but not too often. I don't know any way to fix this, but you can terminate the Firefox process in the task manager.

Re: Firefox never closes bug, Vista
Are you using any extensions or themes with Firefox? Sometimes extensions cause problems like this. You could try disabling some of them and see if that fixes the problem, then disable more until the problem is fixed.
