My best guess is there will be chaos.

The dealers at these casinos have zero experience dealing a big tournament. The cardroom managers and the casinos likewise have no experience either.

The idea of running a limit HORSE tournament is too funny. None of the dealers will have dealt limit tournaments and RAZZ is just never played here. If a dispute occurs during the RAZZ round absolutely noone will know what ruling to make.

And as for the main event being held in 3 locations across London.. all I can say is LOL. I have the image of taxis waiting outside the casinos revving up and eager to whizz through town to balance tables.

All in all I would suggest if you are thinking of coming.. don't bother and come to the EPT London instead.

Is the HORSE tournament fixed-limit? Because I was under the impression that limit poker was basically non-existent in Europe.

I am under the impression it is fixed limit, although I've been wrong before.

Must be fixed limit or it will last about 3 hours. I've always laughed at pl7cs being played in uk casinos. The cash is almost never deep enough, so all the money has gone in by 5th or 6th.

I think you're sorely mistaken for the bigger games. PL Stud and its variants are the most skillful ways to play poker.

Also, as for hotels, you should book near Bayswater if you want under £100 a night. Anywhere else wont be under £150 a night in central london. Hilton is £190, marriot by vic (which isnt hosting the wsop) starts at £250.

Harras organisation of the main event makes me want to skip this one.

On the other hand I will NOT miss out on the EPT London.

Nic...

Without fanfare, the iPoker skin I frequent stopped offering WSOP Europe qualifiers around 28 July. On 30 July, support answered a query that these were being replaced by (a modest number of) EPT London qualifiers. Any idea what's up?

Edit: Support adds later:

We have decided to switch because the players were not fond (of) a super satellite with only (one) place for 69 competitors. The ratio will be better for this one.

This is very strange. They should change it to PL SHOE. Fixed limit poker is not played in the British Isles, although it is played in some parts of Europe. Limit HORSE is a combination of the cash games that were common in the US 10-20 years ago.
