Bet more on the flop for value. You should bet that turn as a standard.
As played I don't like that big river raise, since villain probably won't call without a J, because a Q could easily thinking that you were betting middle pair on the flop and now have rivered trips. Even a minraise is too much probably. You are turning your hand into a bluff, imo. I think I flat call here. Only exception: confirmed big calling station. Here, you should fold, actually. |

my turn check was kinda for pot control but it was more to disguise my hand because i had been c-betting a ton of flops and then giving up. i checked the turn to get action from AQ/KQ on the river or to let someone floating the flop to take a stab. looking back the J is not the best river to be raising for value, but what if it was a 2?
