Re: Just changed my major...
[ QUOTE ]
From what a understand the job market for Accounting is very good. Although I'm sure it is for EE as well. I plan on majoring in Finance but Accounting is something I'm still considering as an option. Double major in both is possible too. Luckily I don't decide until 2 years in. Good luck. [/ QUOTE ] yea, hlcaheen, alot of my friends major in finance, they drink 4 nights a week, go to about 75% of classes, dont do any work, study for an hour before each exam and all have high GPA's, you seem smart so I wouldnt worry about these classes at Penn State snake, i am an engr myself, i enjoy the math but i def hear u on trying to skip the hard classes |

Re: Just changed my major...
i remember you being a good poker player? don't do accounting because you'll be bored out of your mind by the time you finished with CPA
[ QUOTE ] I love dealing with money [/ QUOTE ] You won't be dealing with money in accounting in the ways you want to (my assumption). I will second chisness about looking into finance more because i think it'll fit your criterion more. |

Re: Just changed my major...
I got my masters in Acct, getting a job is a joke, get lots of offers.
working at Big 4 they pay around 55-58k starting by the time u start it will probably be 60k-65k (they up the pay every year based on the market, made me get a 4k raise before i started working but after i signed a contract). The money won't be as much as engineering or those bankers that make 100k i guess but its a good career. lots of upside too. |
