mouse issue on windows vista
whenever my mouse is over anything clickable for over 2 seconds the item will be clicked automatically. is there a way to turn this off so i actually have to click for something to open?

Look at the handicap access options. Sounds like you have something turned on there.

hmm i looked in all of the mouse options but i have yet to find how to turn this feature off..

Control Panel > Ease of Access > Make the mouse easier to use
There is a checkbox in there about hovering opening things, see if that is checked. |

That's all I got. What kind of mouse is it?
If it is a laptop track pad go into the track pad settings and turn off any tapping settings that may be set. And/or see if there are new mouse/trackpad drivers available. |

it's a trackpad on a laptop...i'll try to find a new driver

You may have to give up any tapping functionality if you can't find a driver, that seems to be the solution I found googling for it.
