Villian has done nothing noteworthy, no real reads. I considered all 3 options...

Ha, it took me a sec, but MP is the co in this hand. So you got a CO min raise from an unknown and you are playing for 13-14 BB's. You probably have odds to just call and hit a set or flop overpair, so calling is better than folding. I'd just push. Seems like lately these CO min raises are not very good hands.

Since he's been fairly quiet, just call. You're very deep. I push TT+,AQ+. Folding is ok too, because you can potentially get trapped on a decent non-set flop.

i like to call as well and if it is a nice flop for the eights i push that way things like AK and Aq will fold instead of racing.

If villian contiuation bets, its going to be impossible for you to continue. Are you just going to shove a 57T flop? I think that this is a shove or fold situation. I lean towards a shove though. I think I have a huge hole in my game, because I am NEVER EVER calling here. EVER. |

I don't think calling is terrible. But I agree that we really don't have room for anything post flop without a set. Folding is probably best, but calling is not TERRIBLEE.

Are you in the money here already? what payoffs are you playing for? this affects my decision but I agree with the shove in general. I don't want to risk my stack here if it costs me a payout though. Too often you will be called and be a coinflip or a 4.5-1 dog. If you lose in a gambling situation you dont have enough to come back.

Not risking your stack before getting ITM is something that you can only do if you've gotten pretty lucky early on. Most SNG players are very accustommed to risking their stack, maximizing fold equity and building chip leads at the bubble, praying on the mentality that you describe. |
