Re: KK hand. 4400 stacks 5-10 6-max..
I am surprised noone ever suggested raising the turn to show down the river, and fold if he pushes. I know you lose his bluffing value on river, but personaly I would rather have a better read after the turn by testing my opponent.

Re: KK hand. 4400 stacks 5-10 6-max..
Raise the turn. As played on the river you have to call. If he is aggresive, he may simply be firing a second barrel on that turn and the river Q could hit him, but not neccessarily because he has QQ. Seriously if he has AQ wouldn't it be reasonable for him to bet the river for value? Couldn't he put poster on a hand other than AA or KK? If he can't- then what is the reason to play kings this way?

What is really important here is our range, not his. If I called his reraise preflop and then flop bet my range there is : set - 7combos, JJ-QQ-KK 18 combos , AA - 6combos. [/ QUOTE ] I understand why you're thinking like this but I believe it has a couple problems. First, you are assuming that your unknown opponent knows how you will play here. And second, you are expecting him to adjust correctly to that for his value betting. (Actually though, if your opponent knew exactly how you'd play, he should bet any two except for AA or maybe bottom set) [ QUOTE ] d)most players will pay me off here with other overpair if I have a set. [/ QUOTE ] Does this include QQ-TT? |

whitelime,
Very good post. The problem with discussing hands as the stakes get higher is exactly what you said. Players start to adjust to personal tendencies much more, and decisions become hard to define when you aren't the one playign them. |
