Strategy vs maniacall 3-betors - any good?
Ok here it goesŁ:
1) Find a short-handed table with lots of 3-bet raises. 2) Buy in for like 50-75BB 3) Now whenever some of the loose players 3-bets your raise move all in with any 2 on him Considering you bought in for 60BB, you still get alot of FE vs 3betors and you risk only small because if you make someone fold twice the 3rd time you move all-in on him you need only 25% equity to break even when called. I would apreciate any coments on this. |

I dont think that there are really any players manaical enough for this to work (shoving any two vrs there 3 betting range). Out of curiosity whats the pot odds that the 3 bettor would be receieving? This is important. The reason why this might work is just because the players wouldnt know anything about you, but youd have to leave right after.

[ QUOTE ]
you risk only small because if you make someone fold twice the 3rd time [/ QUOTE ] There are almost no players who will fold 66% to a push even for 100BB let alone 60. |

I wont bother doing any math, but just learn to play as a shortstack. It is a known fact this gives an edge because people wont adjust correctly to your stack size, and they often shouldnt because the rest of the table are 100BBs+ deep.

not much FE IMO with 60BB with maniacs... buy in 100 so you rele have some FE a loto f maniacs gamble and for 60BB they could care less, but 100 could cause folds, and you want to push ur equity with as much $ as possible preflop

Re: Strategy vs maniacall 3-betors - any good?
I may fold AQ the first time someone does this to me but after the first time I'm calling with AQ+ and maybe even AJ, and all pairs 88 and higher maybe smaller. And these hands make up a huge part of my (legit) 3bet range. Also if I feel you are 4bet shoving light, I'm going to tighten up my 3bet range which means when I 3bet and get shoved on I'm calling with the vast majority of my range.

people rarely 3 bet super light vs shortstacks for precisely this reason.
