from todays $1500 WSOP
I have a really tight image b/c I was card dead for the last couple of hours, apart from one big hand. Villan is tight, nothing crazy.
Hero has 14,000, villan has ~10,000, blinds are 150/300/25 hero is delt AhQs UTG and makes it 900, folds to the CO(villan) who calls, BB(~5000) calls. (pot: 3,100) flop is 7c4dQh, BB checks, hero? |

Re: from todays $1500 WSOP
I'd say a lead of 2100 looks good.

Re: from todays $1500 WSOP
I'm not sure what hand calls a bet here that cold called preflop, mayyyybe 44/77.
I lead out for 2,200, thinking I should protect my hand - over protecting my stack - because if I check I usually have to call at least one bet, that commits me anyway. Villan shoves for ~7k more, BB folds. The pot is now 12,400. |

Re: from todays $1500 WSOP
All in.
You are way too short to be second guessing yourself. If the villain is a standard TAG, this shove could be 99/TT/JJ/KQ/AQ/44/77/QQ ore even some crazy bluff with AK. Also, if the villain had a set in position on this really dry board (no one has 56s here) he will often elect to just smooth call to let you hang yourself. You should be happy to get it in. |
