What\'s a good winrate? NLTRN
I've played 50 HU sng's for $5 + 0.25 and I've won about 65% of them.
Is that good enough or am I terrible? I don't know what a good winrate is for HU sng's. |

Re: What\'s a good winrate?
Hmm ask yourself this, why do I bother to compare myself to others rather then play as good as possible?
But anyways, you are usually a winning player if you win 52,5% of the games (depends on the rake) and I think its good if you are winning. It feels like 60% is like the max longterm winrate possible (50 HU SNGs is not longterm at all) so I would probably be satisfied if I had 55-60% at my level. With that said however, I still wouldnt consider myself a good HU SNG-player if I could beat the 5+0,25 games :P. EDIT: Like last 500 games I had a winrate of 67-69% at the 30$ for 200-300 games. Then I went extremly cold to 55% win total the next 100-200 games. That with 10 times more SNGs played then u shows the fluctuations. |

Re: What\'s a good winrate?
It is definitely possible to have higher than 60% winrate in the long run (esp at the 5's and probably up to the 30's for some players).

Re: What\'s a good winrate?
65% is very good, and sustainable at those stakes for a good player, as well as a bit higher stakes probably. I played a huge number of $11 matches earlier this year while I was trying to get good at multi-tabling HU (went a few years with never being able to do this) and I was at 60.5%, while 4-tabling, I think that by 1-tabling and dropped down to the slightly worse players at $5, I could have done 65 pretty easily.
Anyway, 65% is good, 50 games is not an awesome awesome sample size, but I'd say you're at least a good player to win at that rate, yes. Your rate may go down as you play more games, but you're probably pretty good for those games. |

Re: What\'s a good winrate?
selector2006, play at least 200 games and if you can still beat >60% feel free to move up ASAP
