Live poker is unpossible to beat!
Lol, just kidding - though im on a bit of a downswing right now playing live.
Point of thread - had this super fun hand. PL Holdem - i pot it early with AA, three callers and flop comes AK2 - i bet around £10 into a £40ish pot and entice one caller - turn comes the 4 and i fire bigger (half potish) - he calls and we see the 5 river, i value bet it because unless he has A3 im good right? He puts me all in (barely more than a min raise at this point), i call because unless he has A3 im good right? I flip my top set. He flips 33. Nice hand sir. Ironically, he was probably the best player at the table (results wise) - assuming he wasnt full of [censored], he won several big tourneys on Ladbrokes recently for about $40k in a the last month - he also claims to have his WSOP seat sewn up. I dont doubt him tbh - dunno why. So yeah, the sharks at my local call with 3rd pair on the flop, a gutter on the turn and obv hit the river cos poker doesnt reward the made hands. |

Re: Live poker is unpossible to beat!
Mostly a beat, it looks to me.
Who was villain? Beat: Last 13 hours of live PLHE (6 at the G, 5 at BA's, 2 at circus) I haven't seen AA, KK or QQ. |

Re: Live poker is unpossible to beat!
Wazz,
Had a 25 hour stint without the top 3 hands at the G over the past few weeks. That was sandwitched between 3 quads in that time though. Didnt catch his name, could point him out without much trouble though. Also, what is BAs? Yes, im the guy who invented dice before recorded history began. 10 into 40 is a good bet here when i got that one caller - DUCY? |

Re: Live poker is unpossible to beat!
BA is an iranian nutcase (only know about his nutcase tendencies within gambling - it has been implied that he is a nutcase in other ways as well), quite tall and fat, and he runs a private poker club a few nights a week. Usually very juicy action, big pots with nothing, £128 blind, etc etc, usually the cream of the manchester gambling community.
Describe villain for me please - going by results it sounds like it could be Mark Yaffe, but I can't imagine him ever making that play on you. |
