Re: ~Ally McBeal thin?
it's a bluff. his hand looks like an 8, nothing, or nothing that turned a 9 and is afraid of getting raised.

Re: ~Ally McBeal thin?
I like it if, especially if he's the type that doesn't cr the river very often.
He most likely doesn't have a king here. He can have missed flush draws, that isn't very weighted towards high cards since he's in the big blind. In that case you might get value from an ace (retarded, but ppl don't fold for that last bet on the river, especially not lags). The flop cr could mean a small pair or an 8. He then gets into showdown mode on the turn. This is where you get value. If he's the type that calls down these pairs no matter how scary the board gets, this is a value bet. On the other hand if he can fold these small pairs, then he should be able to get away from a bad 8 too. Hopefully he didn't check raise you with J9 or something and got rewarded by your nice value betting |

Re: ~Ally McBeal thin?
wow, this is thin!
I wonder if A high calls enough here, cause the only other hand I feel he has (that we beat) prolly folds here. If he's got an 8 I guess we r chopping most of the time. That said I think I'd give it a miss & have a look at him. |

Re: ~Ally McBeal thin?
Yah so I bet & immediately thought bad. The most important points brought up I think are that a 9 is actually very possible and that he's not particularly likely to have an A since he's defending his BB. He still payed off obv.
