25NL - Learning my lesson with Ace-rag OOP
I think in hindsight I really hate every street here, including PF, but for some reason this hand confused me at the time.
BB's sorta bad, and too willing to commit a lot with marginal hands. Button just sat down, so I don't know what the limp means. PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.25 BB (6 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums) UTG ($4.75) MP ($23.65) CO ($24.20) Button ($17.55) Hero ($63.60) BB ($29.80) Preflop: Hero is SB with 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. 3 folds, Button calls $0.25, Hero raises to $1, BB calls $0.75, Button calls $0.75. Flop: ($3) 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (3 players) Hero checks, BB checks, Button checks. Turn: ($3) 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (3 players) Hero I didn't feel like betting TPNK OOP into two opponents on the flop, especially when I'm not getting called much by anything I beat (except FD's). Should I have bet the flop? And should I be bet-folding this turn? |

Re: 25NL - Learning my lesson with Ace-rag OOP
don't raise out of the sb with it?
Just complete PF and bet the flop as played, just check call the turn and check fold the river (unless we fill up obviously) |

Re: 25NL - Learning my lesson with Ace-rag OOP
Preflop isn't terrible here, not prefered though. Usually I just le this go. The way you played it you have to bet the flop and fold to really any resistance. Unless you have reads that would lead you to believe that people would play back at you with middle pair/a draw, your line should really just be bet/fold this flop.

Re: 25NL - Learning my lesson with Ace-rag OOP
I agree that this hand probably plays better with a PF complete.
So if we bet the flop and get called, we're done? We're check-folding a blank turn? |

Re: 25NL - Learning my lesson with Ace-rag OOP
What's the point in completing preflop here. So you can potentially flop a weak hand to play from OOP? No thanks.
Either raise or fold preflop, since there's little info on the button i'd fold. |

Re: 25NL - Learning my lesson with Ace-rag OOP
I agree just completing the SB is weak. I'm coming at it with $1.25, or folding. Probably folding, really.
Checking the flop is weak. I'm firing here with thoughts of folding to resistance. |

Re: 25NL - Learning my lesson with Ace-rag OOP
Okay, so, again, if we take preflop as a given, everybody's wanting to bet-fold the flop, and if called, check-fold a blank turn?
