squeeeeeeeeze
live 40/80, we've been playing straddle rounds for the past 5 hours or so.
sb in this hand is decent, fancies himself a good hand reader, though sometimes makes some really bad tight folds (though sometimes some really good ones too), and sometimes makes some pretty good calldowns so i guess it depends how well his radar is working. anyways, he views me as pretty solid depending on my mood, though right now he may feel a little more invincible vs me since i haven't won a pot since 1984. anyways, utg live straddles. most pots are typically 3-bet but utg+1 just calls. MP1 and MP2 call and i call in the CO with T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. SB calls. BB calls. and straddle checks his option. flop: Q [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] sb checks. bb checks. straddle checks. utg+1 checks. MP1 bets. MP2 calls. I call. sb calls. bb calls. straddle folds. UTG+1 folds. turn: 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] sb checks. bb checks. MP1 bets. MP2 calls. I call. SB calls. BB folds. river: A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] sb now bets. bb folds. MP1 shakes his head with genuine disappointment and calls. MP2 folds. I insta-raise. |

Re: squeeeeeeeeze
so SB takes your raise into a protected pot as evidence of two pair and folds his ace? or he was bluffing into 4 ppl to begin with?

Re: squeeeeeeeeze
This looks great to me. In live games MP1's act is always genuine and means he'll make a crying call of 1 bet, but ALWAYS folds when it's a second one. SB should hopefully see that he may be able to beat 1 guy but not 2, and then fold -- but often he will just pay you off and hate it. That said, the pot is a decent enough size so you don't have to get this parlay to happen very often for it to be a profitable bluff.

Re: squeeeeeeeeze
I saw this post, went to respond, erased it. Took a shower, went to respond, erased it. Just took a nap and I think you have a sure fold for the one in the middle, but what does the SB fold then?

[/ QUOTE ] that would be a pretty horrible bluff imo. looks like cdc puts him on the nut flush draw and that he's the type that will release just an A often enough to make this bluff profitable |

Re: squeeeeeeeeze
It's very creative but it really takes a very specific type of live player in the sb for this to work. Especially since any handreader will be a little concerned as to wtf you have.
"live 40/80, we've been playing straddle rounds for the past 5 hours or so." Now that's my kinda game! Mind telling me where this was? |

[/ QUOTE ] I agree. If SB is willing to fold the single Ax[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], I like the play. But I have no idea what hand you can represent, some kind of A8? And this is the biggest problem with the play against a hand reader. |
