mayor Menino (D-boston) is a supporter of the project. i am sure that he will push for this project to be within the city limits but the lack of space will make this idea move outside of the city. it's too bad all the state pols we more up for this idea when they were getting all wet to build that damn convention center on the waterfront. that place seems to have an event maybe once every 3 weeks and i am sure it does not attract as much tourism to boston and does not bring in the same sort of revenue that a luxury hotel/ casino would do in that same slot of land. dreamers can dream. i live about 4 miles from there and work a 10 min walk from there. i vote to tear down the new convention center.

I'm 19 and live in Southern NH, and when I turn 21 i'd gladly go to a casino in mass if it had a poker room. Hopefully this gets done in the next few years. [/ QUOTE ] There's a poker room in New Hampshire that just opened called Rockingham Park, 18+. I played there last night and it's one of my new favorite places. . .I might start going there instead of Foxwoods. They only offer 1/2 limit HE cash games, BUT they ran $150 sit-n-gos all night ($500 to winner). I went for three hours and won four of those sit-n-go's, so it wasn't too bad for three hours of work; definitely beats the drive to Foxwoods. |

I call BS. There is no way you won 4 SNGs in 3 hours there. Even if you went 4-4, there's no way you could play 4 in that timeframe (and win them all).

There's guys on this forum that can attest to that and I'm hoping they see this thread.
The $150, six handed sit-n-gos only last, at most, 45 minutes. First one was over before the third level started (10 minute levels). I'll be up there again this weekend if you feel like coming to play with me. |

Rockingham is about 15 minutes from my house, so I've been going there instead of making the trip down to Foxwoods. There is a similar room over in Seabrook with the same structure for Limit and SnG's. Gumbo |

Reko,
I'll admit, I am not that familiar with RP. In fact, I was not aware they were spreading 6max SNGs, I thought all their SNGs were 10-handed. I retract my BS call. |

I was about to bump this, but I guess I don't have to.
I think I'm going to try out Seabrook tonight (thanks to the above poster for making me aware), because apparently they offer Omaha and Stud, which Rockingham Park - despite the board being filled with names for interest - never lets come to fruition. What I am wondering is if we get enough people to agree, if these places let us bump the limits up to maybe a 4/8 or 5/10 game or if it's against their rules and they can only offer 1/2. Does anyone know about the legitimacy of this or should I just make the drive to Foxwoods instead? |

$1-2 is the biggest cash game allowed by NH law.
SNG's and MTT's are allowed for higher stakes, as long as 1/4 of the prize pool goes to charity. (I've never played in NH, but I believe that this post is accurate.) |
