50nl straight vs possible flush multiway
Berate me, smack me, then tell me what to do differently next time:
Both villains seemed pretty bad but I hadn't been at the table long enough to get any real reads. Both had relatively passive stats. Poker Stars - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $0.25/$0.50 Blinds - 6 Players - (LegoPoker HH Converter) SB: $104.70 <font color="black">Hero (BB): $83.20</font> UTG: $19.50 MP: $6.75 CO: $74.50 BTN: $41.00 <font color="black">Preflop:</font> Hero is dealt J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (6 Players) UTG calls $0.50, MP calls $0.50, CO checks, BTN calls $0.50, SB calls $0.25, Hero checks <font color="black">Flop:</font> ($2.50) T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (6 Players) SB checks, Hero checks, <font color="red">UTG bets $1.00</font>, 2 folds, <font color="red">BTN raises to $2.00</font>, SB folds, Hero calls $2.00, UTG calls $1.00 <font color="red">Should I be folding here? I'm pretty sure that UTG is so passive he never 3bets here, but I only really have 6 clean outs...</font> <font color="black">Turn:</font> ($8.50) 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (3 Players) Hero checks, <font color="red">UTG bets $2.00</font>, <font color="red">BTN raises to $5.00</font>, Hero calls $5.00, UTG calls $3.00 <font color="red">This check is absolutely awful. Does bet/fold sound better? If I lead for ~7$ planning to fold to a raise, how should I proceed if either/both smoothcall?</font> <font color="black">River:</font> ($23.50) K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (3 Players) Hero checks, UTG checks, <font color="red">BTN bets $7.00</font>, Hero calls $7.00, UTG calls $7.00 Pot Size: $44.50 ($2.20 Rake) <font color="red">after mangling turn by checking, I don't know what else to do here. I think maybe this river line is correct as played? I don't even know at this point.</font> On the turn I have outs to hit a really weak flush that probably won't be good unless I hit my 1-outer. Maybe bet/call a minraise, but fold to anything bigger? |

Re: 50nl straight vs possible flush multiway
Fold turn, if you call it I think you have to call the river as well.

Re: 50nl straight vs possible flush multiway
I really like a fold on the flop. 1/3 of the time the flush will hit and it will either kill your hand or your action. Obviously this cuts down your implied odds drastically. Just fold.
On the turn you are correct b/f is the way to go. Your hand canīt improve, so if someone raises easy muck. Sets 2pair and one pair with a spade will fear the flush and check behind, but will call with the hope of improving. As played fold. River as played, cc a tiny bet so I would call. |

Meh, I usually lead the flop. As played, I bet/fold the turn.

Re: 50nl straight vs possible flush multiway
yeah, I pretty much knew the best line when I posted, I just get so pissed off that sometimes when I multitable I get rushed and make a fish move and then I have no idea how to proceed afterwards since I'd screwed up so bad
